iPhone/iPod Touch 2.0 Tip of the Day

iPod Touch Screen Shot

If you have recently upgraded to 2.0 from a jailbroken iPhone and miss Capture, the app that let you take screen shots of your iPhone, then you’ll like this little trick.

Press the Home button and the Power button at the same time (just click them down and release, don’t hold them down or you’ll restart your iPhone) the screen will flash white and then return to normal.

If you have an iPhone the screen caps will appear in your camera roll, if you are like me and tried this on an iPod Touch you’ll have to connect your iPod to your Mac (or PC) which will automatically open iPhoto and prompt you to import new photos.

Thanks to Andy Ihnatko for discovery this little trick.

[UPDATE] Actually if you do this on an iPod Touch the pictures will appear in the Photos app that came with your iPod.
